Dear Friends,
Hope this finds you well, healthy, and in high spirits!

Keeping it light, here is a preview of the SS2021 Mister Freedom® x Sugar Cane (mfsc) collaboration, for your consideration.
Our seasonal output consists of two groupings.

The main theme is called “FROGSVILLE”.
Not a reference to my city of birth but rather a stylistic incursion into the world of vintage UDT (Underwater Demolition Team), Frogmen and US Navy SEALs, throwing eclectic 1940s-1970s references in the MF® blender. This is us taking many liberties on period US military garb and local-made garments, with an emphasis on active, practical, and streamlined gear.
The subtle message is not about glamorizing wars, but rather about encouraging safe and healthy outdoor activities, as an alternative to video game addiction and doomscrolling.

The FROGSVILLE collection will be manufactured in Japan (with the exception of the tees, all made and printed in USA.)
The SS2021 line-up will include:

Silkscreened ship grey body
6) FROGMAN Jacket 🇯🇵:
Navy blue HBT
7) SWABBIES Cut-Offs 🇯🇵:

The next pile o’ rags consists of classic additions to our made-in-USA SPORTSMAN catalog (with the exception of the Ranch Kerchiefs, produced in Japan.)
The “Paniolo” reference is about the unlikely combo of Hawaiian culture and cowboys, historically documented in this book for those interested.

The SS2021 SPORTSMAN line-up will include:

White tubular “skivvy” jersey, olive green accents
7) CONTINENTAL BERMUDAS “PANIOLO” 🇺🇸:
“Palaka” cloth indigo plaid.
8) CONTINENTAL Sportcoat and SPORTMAN Chinos 🇺🇸:
NOS slate grey denim twill, 60% cotton/40% linen, 8 Oz.

As always, besides the classic vintage style references, the common thread in all these original garments is the Mister Freedom® on-going commitment to ethical manufacturing, original vintage-inspired designs, and resistance to fast fashion.

Drop dates for this latest Mister Freedom® x Sugar Cane SS2021 mfsc line-up will start in the coming months. We are expecting deliveries between February and April 2021, as Japan and USA factories gradually complete production.
